Of course, it can be said that the best music really comes from our favorite movies and documentaries. Spanning over many decades, highlighting memories and making lasting imprints on history, movies and documentaries about music will forever be an American favorite. RENT
RENT is a beloved musical about young people trying to make it through some pretty tough times. It comes loaded with catchy music. You may already be familiar with Seasons of Love. Another incredible song to come from this musical is La Vie Boheme which is guaranteed to get you up and dancing!

This movie starring John Travolta (in his younger days!) has long been loved by many. The music is catchy and entertaining for all audiences. Summer Nights transports you to the time of young love and an endless summer. You’re The One That I Want showcases the incredible voice of Olivia Newton John and will definitely stay stuck in your head for a few days.

This groundbreaking documentary reveals the life of Amy Winehouse. Although she is now deceased, the tell all shows the audience what it was really like for the conflicted star. 8 Mile
This movie follows the true story of rapper Marshall Mathers AKA Eminem. Featuring original music from the rap star such as Lose Yourself and Time of My life ft Macy Gray, this is a story that reels you in. 8 Mile definitely belongs on this list as one of the greats. Well done Mr. Mathers!
Footloose
This movie takes us back to the year 1984. A young man from Chicago moves to a small town where music and dancing has been banned! Follow the journey of this rebel teen as he sings and dances his way into the hearts of everyone!
